Live Plastic Free

Live Plastic Free

As a seller, it’s always a debate between fulfilling products in plastic wrapper vs plastic reduction manifestation.

Going green, zero waste, and even refusing plastic is a process that takes a while for everyone.

We believe in baby steps to start somewhere in our lives to sincerely act our love towards the environment. Do a little bit every day and develop some new habits.

The problem:

The energy used to make 12 plastic bags can run a car for 1 mile.

100,000 marine creatures a year die from plastic entanglement, and these are the ones found.

Approximately 1 million seabirds die from plastic each year.

Sea Turtles confuse them with their favourite food, the jellyfish

Worldwide, a trillion single-use plastic bags are used each year, nearly 2 million each minute. ~ data from 2014

The solution:

Most of us probably have reusable shopping bags somewhere in a drawer at home or in the car. Pull them out, perhaps dust them off or even give it a quick wash and make it a habit to keep at least two in your car at all times.

If you have plastic containers that are taking space in your kitchen cabinets, put them in your car with your reusable shopping bags. They could occupy your beans and legumes, herbs and etc.

Reuse:

We’ve probably bought a lot of products wrapped in all kinds of plastics and there’s no way to find alternatives to refuse while shopping. They can definitely be reused in all kinds of purposes in our daily lives.

For eg. Noodle wrappers can be turned into chilled food wrappers; foil based oatmeal wrappers can save your frozen seafood in the freezer; bread loaf wrappers could organize your alliums with punched holes - give your waste a second chance.
